A word on ethics and sustainablity​
We are a restaurant that only serves plants run by two people without any dietary restrictions. We serve plants because we like them. There is a greater variety of textures and flavours on offer than in any other group of foods that exist. Furthermore, the challenge to extract flavours and make satiating food using only plant products is endlessly interesting to us.
There is also an ethical component to this. The way that humans are raising livestock in the bio-industry is abominable. And although we are not here to tell anyone how to live their lives, maybe we can show that eating plants can be just as satisfying and delicious as eating animals.

Humans produce too much waste, and professional kitchens are no exception. At Yellow we are committed to reduce our waste as much as possible. We are working directly with farmers to try and reduce packaging, are phasing out single use plastics and compost our green waste. There are many more things to do and we will report our progress as we continue to look for ways to improve. We will probably never be perfect but we will try our very best.
